COMMUNITY REPORTING GUIDE · UK PILOT
Community safety and environmental reporting
Make environmental concerns and public-space hazards visible with careful, factual reporting.
Report an observed concern
Describe environmental problems such as litter, fly-tipping, damaged public spaces or a visible hazard. Record what you can safely observe, where it happened and whether the situation is ongoing. Do not enter an unsafe area to take a photograph or publish faces, vehicle details or allegations that are unnecessary to explain the issue.
Maps are community reports
Approved pins help visitors explore reported concerns and their progress. They are not a complete incident feed, official crime statistics, an evacuation map or a prediction of danger. A report’s location may be approximate, and the absence of a pin does not mean an area is safe.
Use the right channel for urgency
Fire, flooding, violence and other immediate dangers need the appropriate official response. Contact emergency services directly when necessary. A later factual report on Notificity can help document a community concern, but the platform does not dispatch responders or guarantee that an authority has received your submission.
