COMMUNITY REPORTING GUIDE · UK PILOT
Restaurant, shop and service complaints
Submit factual complaints, follow organisation responses and confirm when a concern is resolved.
Explain your experience
A consumer complaint can concern a restaurant, supermarket, transport operator or another organisation. Explain what happened, the approximate date and the outcome you are seeking. Keep receipts, account numbers and contact information out of public text. Describe your experience accurately and avoid unsupported allegations about named people.
Choose an organisation
Select a participating organisation when submitting a Consumer complaint. Administrators review the report before it appears as a distinct red complaint pin and before the suggested organisation is assigned. If the organisation is not listed, you can still describe the place clearly; the platform cannot promise a response from a business that has not joined.
Responses and resolution
Participating organisations can respond to assigned cases through their workspace. Public progress appears after review. The complainant can confirm that the issue has been addressed, and an organisation can submit a resolution for review. Marking a case resolved preserves its history rather than erasing the original concern. Notificity does not replace formal complaints or dispute-resolution procedures.
